Hi! I’m Julie, a travel enthusiast and wind chaser currently based out of the Dominican Republic. I write, I kite, I photograph, I teach, I guide, I live on planes, but most importantly I love discovering new destinations!  I am most definitely addicted to spending my money on plane tickets & kite gear, and absolutely live by the idea that memories are way more valuable than things.

I grew up in Montreal, Canada, and graduated from McGill with a bachelor’s degree in Education and Leadership, and am currently completing my Master’s Degree online as I travel – Yes, digital nomad.  I am studying in an innovative field of study related to Sustainable Happiness –Read my blogs and I will tell you all about it.

I am perfectly bilingual (I speak English and French)- and am almost trilingual -you see, I have been living & working on and off in the Dominican Republic for about a two year period. For five years now, I have been traveling the world and working as a Trips Facilitator with WE, and the innovative social enterprise, Me to We. I work with youth, educators, and adults on topics such as leadership, international development, sustainable development, social justice and youth empowerment. My objectives and passions are openly worn on my sleeves; I want to mold the minds of the future generations by providing real and genuine learning experiences all through the means of travel and social justice. I am a shameless idealist and absolutely love what I do!

Leaving a positive legacy behind is very important to me. I am a hard and dedicated worker and try to be the best person I can be both personally as well as, through good business practices. I believe we all have the potential to positively contribute to the betterment of our world, therefore, I actively choose to “Be the change I wish to see in the world” every day by working with sustainable, conscious and genuine people. Who we are is probably best described by what we do.

If you are a shameless idealist like me, I am so glad you have chosen to follow my blog and embark on this life-changing travel adventure with me, and I already admire your commitment to making the world we live in a better place one small action at a time.  I absolutely feel a connection to you already! Join me on my adventures as I travel, meet new people and LEARN.
